Emily deeply believes in the power…

of design to empower communities and spark positive change. She is currently a lecturer in the Design Department at the University of California, Davis. She is a design strategist and her work at large focuses on community engagement and spans design agency work, supporting community organizations, and founding She’s Rogue.

Emily studied social impact design in graduate school to better understand how design can bring positive impact to local communities. Her research showed that when women lead, their communities benefit. She developed a leadership program that used adventure and creativity to give women the opportunity to see just how capable they are.

Participants not only walk away learning how to tap into their creativity and adventurous spirits, but participants learn to find their voice, their creativity, their adventurous spirits, to take up space, and to lead in their communities.

She’s Rogue was founded on the importance of breaking down barriers women face when tapping into their adventurous and creative sides. By building courage in safe environments, participants will build an appetite for leadership and engagement, positively impacting the world around them.
